Critical Approaches in Social Sciences 00-0F-CAS
The main focus of this course is to familiarise students with critical theory in social sciences, particularly from the field of sociology and critical pedagogy in order to be able to apply such critical lens for interpretation of data and when framing one's own research work. The course will also enhance critical thinking skills and reflective approaches towards sources of information and personal biases.
This semester we will look into language, critical discourse analysis and gender theory. We will also explore the concepts behind critical discourse analysis.
The course will enhance vocabulary within critical theory in social sciences will foster critical thinking.
