Studia dla absolwentów studiów pierwszego stopnia na kierunku/specjalności pedagogika opiekuńczo-wychowawcza, posiadający przygotowanie psychologiczno-pedagogiczne oraz dydaktyczne w zakresie dydaktyki i emisji głosu zgodnie z Rozporządzeniem MNiSW z dn. 25 lipca 2019 w sprawie standardu kształcenia przygotowującego do wykonywania zawodu nauczyciela.

Studia na kierunku Pedagogika opiekuńczo-wychowawcza i szkolna stanowią kontynuację nauczycielskich studiów pierwszego stopnia z zakresu pedagogiki opiekuńczo-wychowawczej. Przygotowują studentów/ki do działania w ramach profesji społeczno-pedagogicznych - przede wszystkim do pracy w szkole.  Studia przygotowują do podejmowania intencjonalnych działań na rzecz rozwoju i edukacji dziecka, łączących różne środowiskowe podmioty  tej działalności: zarówno indywidualne i grupowe (uczniowie, dzieci, rodzice, nauczyciele, mieszkańcy sąsiedztwa) oraz instytucjonalne (m.in., urzędy, instytucje kultury, oświaty, wychowania, instytucje socjalne czy wyznaniowe).

Kształcą refleksyjnych praktyków potrafiących integrować własne doświadczenia praktyczne ze zdobywaną wiedzą teoretyczną, w wyniku czego uzyskują oni pogłębione rozumienie własnego, profesjonalnego działania.  

Studia są skierowane do osób zainteresowanych projektowaniem, organizowaniem i realizacją wsparcia społecznego dziecka i rodziny w szkole i w środowisku.

Program dostarcza wiedzy na temat rozwoju człowieka w całym przebiegu jego życia oraz na temat funkcjonowania rodziny, czynników sprzyjających zagrażających dobrostanowi dziecka i osób dorosłych, a także na temat modeli polityki społecznej w tym polityki oświatowej i możliwości organizowania wsparcia społecznego w środowisku lokalnym. Przygotowuje do umiejętnego diagnozowania potrzeb dziecka i środowiska lokalnego, czy instytucji oraz stosownie do nich do projektowania i realizowania usług społecznych: z zakresu opieki, wychowania, pomocy, a także koordynowania tych usług. Uczy, jak uruchamiać lokalny kapitał społeczny, budować sieci wsparcia dzieci, osób dorosłych i rodzin, wspierać partycypację i obywatelstwo i budować podmiotowość jednostek, grup i sąsiedztw.  

Ukończenie studiów daje Absolwentowi/ce kompetencje niezbędne do podjęcia zatrudnienia jako: pedagog szkolny, wychowawca w placówkach oświatowych i opiekuńczo-wychowawczych, wsparcia dziennego oraz instytucjach pieczy zastępczej.

Learning outcomes approved by Resolution No. 444/2022 of the Senate of the Maria Grzegorzewska University of 28 September 2022, amending Resolution No. 326/2022 of 16 March 2022 on the study programme in care and educational pedagogy and school pedagogy with a general academic profile, in accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of 25 July 2019 on the Standard of Education Preparing for the Teaching Profession (Journal of Laws of 2024, item 453), in the part relating to subject-matter preparation for teaching the primary subject or delivering instruction in the primary teaching area, and didactic preparation for teaching the primary subject or delivering instruction in the primary teaching area.

Upon completion of second-cycle (Master’s) studies in the field of care and educational pedagogy and school pedagogy, the graduate:

in terms of KNOWLEDGE knows and understands to an advanced degree selected facts, objects, and phenomena, along with the methods and theories explaining complex relationships between them, constituting advanced general knowledge in scientific or artistic disciplines forming the theoretical foundations; structured and theoretically grounded knowledge covering key issues as well as selected issues within advanced detailed knowledge relevant to the given field of study (its programme); the main development trends of the scientific or artistic disciplines to which the field of study is assigned; fundamental dilemmas of contemporary civilisation; economic, legal, ethical, and other conditions of various types of professional activity related to the field of study, including principles of industrial property protection and copyright law; principles of managing intellectual property resources; basic principles of creating and developing various forms of entrepreneurship.

in particular:
- has in-depth and extensive knowledge of the sources and place of pedagogy within the system of sciences (including its substantive and methodological connections with other scientific disciplines);
- has advanced knowledge of the terminology used within pedagogy, as well as various concepts and models related to pedagogical theory and practice;
- has advanced general knowledge of scientific disciplines that constitute key theoretical references of pedagogy;
- has in-depth knowledge of human development across the life cycle in biological, psychological, as well as social and cultural aspects;
- has extensive knowledge of types of social bonds and the principles governing them;
- has extensive knowledge of various types of social structures and their transformations, significant from the perspective of educational, care, and social processes;
- has extensive and detailed knowledge of the structure of the education system and/or the child and family support system, as well as systems supporting individuals in challenging situations;
- knows selected education systems and/or child and family support systems, as well as systems supporting individuals and groups in challenging situations, in other countries;
- has well-organised knowledge of the entities (individual, group, and institutional) engaged in educational, upbringing, care, cultural, support, and therapeutic activities, as well as their work in care and education and support services;
- has well-organised knowledge of the relationships between various entities operating in the fields of education, culture, care, and support;
- has well-organised knowledge of diagnostic activities (of individuals, groups, institutions, and the local environment);
- has well-organised knowledge of designing activities in educational care work;
- has well-organised knowledge of the evaluation of implemented activities;
- has well-organised knowledge of interpersonal and social communication processes, as well as their patterns and disruptions;
- has in-depth and well-organised knowledge of contemporary trends in the development of pedagogy and understands their historical and cultural determinants;
- has detailed knowledge of the fundamental dilemmas of contemporary civilisation (including ethical dilemmas) within the context of challenges and tasks for education, care, and support;
- has in-depth knowledge of the economic, legal, and ethical determinants of various types of pedagogical activity, including principles of intellectual property management;
- knows the basic principles of creating and developing various forms of individual entrepreneurship in education.

in terms of SKILLS, the graduate can use acquired knowledge, formulate and solve complex and unusual problems, and perform tasks innovatively in unpredictable conditions by
• appropriately selecting sources and information derived from them, evaluating, critically analysing, synthesising, and creatively interpreting and presenting this information;
• selecting and applying appropriate methods and tools, including advanced information and communication technologies (ICT);
• adapting existing methods and tools or developing new ones;
• using acquired knowledge - formulate and test hypotheses related to simple research problems;
• using acquired knowledge - formulate and solve problems and perform tasks typical of professional activity;
• communicating on specialist topics with diverse audiences;
• participating in debates;
• using a foreign language at B2+ level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, as well as specialist terminology;
• managing teamwork, cooperating with others in team-based tasks, and taking a leading role in teams;
• independently planning and pursuing lifelong learning and guiding others in this regard;
• critically evaluating their own knowledge and received information;

- can use theoretical knowledge in the field of pedagogy and related disciplines to analyse complex educational, care, cultural, support, and therapeutic phenomena;
- can use theoretical knowledge in the field of pedagogy and related disciplines to plan innovative, practical activities;
- can search for and process information on various social phenomena using different sources and techniques, including advanced information and communication technologies (ICT);
- can observe psychological, social, and/or cultural phenomena and, with reference to theoretical knowledge in the field of education, care, and support, interpret these phenomena;
- can distinguish orientations in the methodology of pedagogical research, formulate research problems, select appropriate methods and techniques, and design research tools; as well as develop, present, and interpret research results, draw conclusions, and indicate directions for further research in the areas of care, educational, social, and teaching work;
- using theoretical knowledge from pedagogy and related disciplines, can interpret social phenomena and/or identify pedagogical problems;
- can select and apply appropriate procedures for a given pedagogical activity, choose appropriate means and methods of work to effectively perform emerging professional tasks in the field of care and educational work, and support activities;
- has advanced communication skills;
- can communicate effectively using various channels and communication techniques with both pedagogy specialists and non-specialist audiences, using modern technological solutions;
- can appropriately present their own views, supporting them with well-developed argumentation in the context of selected theoretical perspectives;
- has language skills in the field of pedagogy, particularly in areas concerning education, care, and assistance, consistent with the requirements specified for level B2+ of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages;
- can work in a team; can define and accept common goals; can take on a leadership role within a team;
- can independently plan their own learning and development in the field of social sciences;
- can support others in independently acquiring knowledge; and
- can inspire others to engage in lifelong learning.

in terms of SOCIAL COMPETENCES, the graduate is prepared to fulfil social obligations, inspire and organise activities for the benefit of the social environment; initiate actions in the public interest; think and act in an entrepreneurial manner; and responsibly perform professional roles, taking into account changing social needs, including:
• developing the achievements of the profession;
• upholding the ethos of the profession;
• adhering to and promoting the principles of professional ethics, and taking measures to ensure these principles are observed;

in particular:

- has an in-depth awareness of the level of their knowledge and skills, is prepared to analyse received content critically, and understands the need for continuous personal and professional development;
- recognises the significance of pedagogical sciences for individual development and the proper functioning of social relations; has a positive attitude towards acquiring knowledge in their field and developing teaching skills and methods, and seeks expert knowledge when facing problems;
- takes responsibility for their professional preparation, the decisions they make, and the actions they undertake, as well as their consequences; feels accountable to those for whose benefit they act; demonstrates this attitude within their environment and indirectly models it for others;
- is sensitive to social and educational issues, ready to communicate and cooperate with their environment, and actively participates in groups and organisations implementing pedagogical activities in the public interest, including supporting individuals requiring care or assistance;
- is ready to act in an entrepreneurial manner;
- demonstrates prudence and maturity in understanding the role of the pedagogue as well as readiness to develop the achievements of the profession and uphold its ethos, being convinced of the necessity and importance of acting professionally and adhering to professional ethical principles.
