Learning outcomes approved by Resolution No. 173/2019 of the Senate of The Maria Grzegorzewska University of 26 June, 2019 on the programme of studies in the field of art education through fine arts of general academic education profile with further amendments.

Learning outcomes in the area of knowledge. Having completed graduate studies (second-cycle studies) in the field of art education through fine arts, the graduate knows and understands in a deep way facts, theories, methods and complex relationships between them, also in connection with other fields of art, art history, art education, art therapy and sociotherapy; various and complex conditions and the axiological context of artistic, educational, art therapy and sociotherapy activities; in particular he/she knows and understands
― basic rules regarding the implementation of artistic works related to a particular field of study a well as rules regarding the means of expression and technical skills of related artistic disciplines and other fields relevant to the course of study;
― issues regarding theory and history of art, cultural studies, aesthetics, ethics, sociology of art, philosophy and pedagogy that allows to relate art practice to their respective cultural, historical and social contexts;
― anthropological, philosophical, artistic, socio-cultural, historical, ethical, biological, psychological and axiological foundations of classical and contemporary theories and concepts of pedagogy, education, teaching-learning and therapeutic activities with the use of artistic techniques;
― research methods used in scientific and artistic disciplines relevant to a particular field of study; has a basic understanding of scientific literature (also in a foreign language), community serial and non-serial publications concerning scientific and artistic fields relevant to a field of study;
― development trends in scientific and artistic disciplines relevant to a particular field of study as well as relationships between the disciplines;
― problems related to technologies used in the artistic discipline (as a whole) and technological development related to the profession of an artist of a specific specialty;
― theories and principles of interpersonal and social communication as well as their regularities and disturbances including the use of visual communication means and its reference to the implementation and presentation of artistic works in fine arts;
― role and tasks of the teacher in the process of shaping students' attitudes and behaviours, referring to norms, procedures and good practices used in pedagogical activity, especially in the field of art education;
― psychological mechanisms, including human development and creativity;
― issues in developmental psychology and social determinants of psychological processes as well as pathology and disorders related to the emotional and behavioural sphere of a human;
― issues in education: teaching contents; teaching methods and effective teaching resources, including the safe use of Internet resources; effective interpersonal and social communication; elements of practical rhetoric and effective presentation and the principles of voice production;
― the principles of designing and conducting diagnostic activities in pedagogical and art therapy practices, including the recognition of students with specific educational needs;
― the principles and forms of organising the teaching-learning process, with particular emphasis on the principles of inclusion and inclusive education; typical student difficulties and ways of solving them, including the use of specialist help; pathologies of the speech apparatus and the principles of possible corrections; students' abilities and adapting teaching methods and didactic resources appropriate to their potential, especially for gifted students;
― legal, institutional and organisational foundations of the teacher's work, in particular children's rights; goals, tasks, rules of organisation and functioning of the education system institutions; relevant provisions of the education law; knows the health and safety rules of organising students' work in educational institutions, especially in art and computer rooms;
― rules of providing first aid;
― determinants and effects of artistic practice, pedagogical work, also in the field of art therapy, in the context of fundamental dilemmas of modern civilisation;
― basic principles and mechanisms of various forms of entrepreneurship development both in terms of active functioning in the economic field and personal features determining economic activity, including knowledge of the system of institutions of art circulation;
― concepts and principles of industrial property protection and copyright laws as well as basic issues related to financial, marketing and legal aspects of the artistic profession of a given specialty.

Learning outcomes in the area of skills. The graduate is able to perform tasks, formulate and solve problems with the use of new knowledge, also from other fields in visual arts, education and art therapy; plan his/her own lifelong learning and guide others in this area with regard to visual arts, art education, art therapy and sociotherapy; communicate with diverse groups of recipients, adequately justify his/her positions in the field of fine arts, design arts and education, in particular, he/she is able to
― identify complex phenomena and problems requiring action in fine arts, humanities and applied social sciences in the field of art and pedagogical education, explain the mechanisms and conditions of their development through selection of appropriate sources of information, critically evaluate, analyse, synthesise and interpret them;
― carry out his/her artistic activities based on stylistically diverse concepts resulting from the free and independent use of imagination, intuition and emotionality using the acquired techniques and technologies;
― design, implement and supervise activities in the field of art and pedagogical education and similar activities which support his/her own and other people's personal development, predict the course and effects of planned activities, properly select and adapt the existing methods, techniques and tools and develop new ones; individualise the work with children; diagnose the needs, possibilities and abilities of students;
― use legal, ethical and economic principles and standards in the planning and implementation of advanced artistic, educational or other activities which support development based on art therapy techniques;
― design research projects in fine arts, humanities and applied social sciences in the field of art and pedagogical education: formulate and test hypotheses related to research problems, select appropriate research methods and tools, interpret obtained findings, draw conclusions, creatively present them in speech, writing and in forms of visual expression relevant to a given artistic field;
― communicate with specialists and people from outside artistic and pedagogical circles using advanced techniques and information and communication channels, actively participate in debates on complex issues related to art and pedagogy, precisely present his/her opinions, positions, doubts and suggestions, evaluate other positions;
― communicate in a foreign language at the B2 + level of the European Framework of Reference for Languages, with particular emphasis on terminology relevant to a particular field of study, and use the Polish language properly;
― manage the work of a team, including planning, organising and supervising the implementation of complex team artistic, pedagogical or similar activities which support his/her own and other people's personal development, also of an interdisciplinary nature, cooperate with others as part of team projects;
― plan and implement a personal and professional development programme as an artist and teacher, improve his/her knowledge and skills, learned techniques through skilful, systematic and consistent further individual exercises as well as to inspire participants in artistic, pedagogical and art therapeutic processes to plan and pursue their own development and work for lifelong learning.

Learning outcomes in the area of social competences. The graduate is ready to create and develop models of proper behaviour in life and artistic environment; take initiatives, critically evaluate himself/herself and the teams and organisations in which he/she participates; lead the group and take responsibility for it in environments related to visual arts, education, art therapy and sociotherapy, in particular, he/she is ready to
― critically evaluate his/her and other specialists' knowledge and skills, use the scientific knowledge to solve cognitive and practical problems, consult experts in the event of difficulties in solving the problem on his/her own;
― consciously fulfil social obligations related to the implementation of professional tasks of a teacher, educator and art therapist, inspire and organise activities for the social environment, think and act in an entrepreneurial manner;
― fulfil the role of a professional artist in a responsible manner, continuously improve artistic skills, deepen the awareness of the contemporary social role of an artist, communicate and initiate artistic activities in society, also by using modern technologies, preserve cultural heritage;
― fulfil the professional role related to educational activities, including following the principles of professional ethic, noticing and formulating moral dilemmas related to his/her own professional role and the role of other specialists, maintaining the ethos of the profession and taking actions to develop scientific achievements in the field of art education.
