This seminar explores the factors influencing the positive development of children from a cross-cultural perspective, with a focus on understanding how cultural values, societal changes, and global crises shape childhood experiences. Participants will engage in discussions on four key areas: 1. Cultural Changes and a Child’s Situation at Present: Analyzing how shifting cultural norms and globalization impact the development of children from an intercultural perspective. 2. Children's Rights in the Contemporary World: Examining the universal and culturally specific aspects of children's rights, highlighting progress and challenges in different regions. 3. The Child’s Situation During Crises in the Global World: Understanding how global issues, such as economic instability, war, climate change, and pandemics, affect children across diverse cultural contexts. 4. Support for Children in Times of Crisis: Investigating culturally sensitive approaches to supporting children during crises, emphasizing the role of family, education, and community networks. |
