Short characteristic:
Characteristics of the psycho-pedagogical and scientific activities of L.S. Vygotsky, Robbie Case and Alfred Bandura
The model for assessing the cognitive potential of preschool children developed by E. M. Kulesza.
The concept of the zone of proximal development (ZPD) by L.S. Vygotsky in pedagogical diagnostics.
Practical application of the concept (ZPD).
Detailed program:
1. Overview of the program, forms of implementation, evaluation criteria.
Task 1: Auto-presentation of each student in English, including pedagogical interest of student.
2. The life and activities of Lev S. Vygotsky, Robbie Case and Alfred Bandura.
Task 2: 20-minute Power Point presentations in subgroups about one of the above scientists.
3. The theoretical model of potential assessment based on the theories of L.S. Vygotsky, R. Case and A. Bandura developed by E.M. Kulesza (PP presentation by the teacher, analysis of the theoretical model)
Task 3: participation in discussing the role of each theory in the model based on recommended literature.
4. Assessment taking into account developmental zones - the diagnostic procedure algorithm (task-help 1-task-help 2-task) and conditions of the diagnosis of the child's potential (PP presentation by the teacher, video)
Task 4: participation in discussion of child-friendly conditions for assessment based on recommended literature.
5.-6. Application of the diagnostic procedure task-help-task
Workshop: explanation and demonstration of the procedure by the teacher.
Task 5: practicing the procedure of a selected diagnostic task in subgroups. A description of the procedure in English will be available to students.
7. Demonstration of dynamic diagnosis of selected tasks based on the task-help-task algorithm, discussion of task performance evaluation, distribution in development zones depending on the amount of aid provided (workshop classes).
Task 6: Simulation of the diagnosis of a selected task in teams of 3 with an assessment of its performance in various development zones.
